MANAGING DIRECTOR

​Collaboraction is thrilled to announce our continued expansion and growth. We are looking for a dynamic Managing Director to scale our company and lead our operations team! This key player will be responsible for owning the operational strategy of company and continue to grow our business as we open at Kimball Arts Center this year! Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with the Artistic Director and Board of Directors to develop and implement the organization’s strategic plan. Provide leadership in long-term planning, including initiatives for artistic programming, community outreach, and organizational development. Financial Management: Oversee the organization’s financial health, including budgeting, financial planning, and fiscal management. Work with the Finance Committee to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with all regulatory requirements. Lead fundraising efforts, including donor cultivation, grant writing, and special events. Operational Oversight: Direct day-to-day operations of the organization, ensuring efficient workflow and effective communication across all departments. Supervise and support department managers in areas such as operations, development, marketing, and production. Implement policies and procedures to enhance organizational effectiveness and maintain a positive work environment. Community Engagement and Partnerships: Serve as a primary ambassador for Collaboraction, fostering relationships with stakeholders, donors, sponsors, and community partners. Develop and maintain partnerships with other arts organizations, community groups, and social justice advocates to advance the organization’s mission. Board Relations: Support the Board of Directors in governance matters, including board development, committee work, and strategic planning. Provide regular updates to the Board on organizational activities, financial status, and strategic initiatives. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in arts administration, nonprofit management, or related field preferred. Minimum of 5 years of management experience in a nonprofit organization, preferably in the performing arts or cultural sector. 7 years, if experience is  nonprofit adjacent. Proven track record in fundraising, financial management, and strategic planning. Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate staff, artists, and volunteers. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to cultivate relationships and represent the organization effectively. Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with experience in fostering an inclusive organizational culture. Passion for the arts and a belief in their power to drive social change. Salary Range: $70,000-$100,000 a year. Benefits: Healthcare Stipend, 401K, Flexible PTO, and more. We are accepting applications through end of business on Friday, July 26th, 2024.
